Emotions run high as Michigan State guard Travis Trice is overwhelmed with tears by their overtime win against Louisville (76-70). The win brings Trice and his team to the Final Four of the National College Athletics Association (NCAA) tournament.

A day before the game, Trice already gave a foreshadowing of what his reaction might be if he and his team would get into the Final Four. He said that while he may not be a crier, he might shed a couple of tears.

As the clock ran down and the players from Michigan State were jumping all over the place, Trice was not sharing their jubilant celebration. Instead, he was on his knees and overcome with emotions as his parents stood over them.

The trance that the tears and the powerful emotion produced was only broken when a stadium worker called to him and said that he needed to collect a trophy.

Even though Trice responded to it, he was still in a daze when the officials called his name to accept his Most Valuable player trophy for the East region.

The deluge of emotions that was like a dam being opened was a result of a number of factors.

First of all, the 6-foot, 170-pound guard came to East Lansing with the prospect of becoming a career backup, but rose through the ranks to where he is situated now.

Trice has also been hounding for the title for the past four years, with he and his team coming really close the previous year.

The game itself was a factor, with Trice scoring a game-high 17 points that led Michigan State to get the "W".

All of these factors let out the tears that friends, teammates, and family have never seen before.

Despite all that he had accomplished so far though, Trice told his parents that he was not worthy of such a moment.

His mother thinks otherwise, saying there is no other kid who could have deserved that moment.
