"Mass Effect 4" developer Bioware has released behind the scenes pictures of the game's motion capture stage.

Ken Thain, cinematic director of BioWare, sent a tweet that includes the motion capture pictures. The tweet said the set is located in "TheCaptureLab in Vancouver". Thain describes the image as a "very cool scene for the next #MassEffect".

Unfortunately, there isn't much information that can be gleaned from the motion capture set.  The photo simply shows two persons wearing black colored motion capture outfits standing on the right side of picture. One of them has his arms outstretched on his sides. On the left side of the photo is some sort of image.

In 2012, BioWare initially made public its plan to develop the fourth installment of Mass Effect 4.  Only this year did the developer confirm the highly anticipated ME 4 is "getting real", however.

The studio also announced that ME 4 will have an "online component" added to it. BioWare however, wouldn't confirm if this means the game will have a multiplayer mode or not. The previous Mass Effect game had a multiplayer mode that was welcomed by ME gaming fans.

The developer assures the upcoming ME game is "fresh but familiar" to gamers but BioWare is hinting that Shepherd may no longer be featured in ME 4.

BioWare also said the new ME 4 game won't be based on its successful Dragon Age: Inquisition game. Aaryn Flynn, BioWare's general manager, said ME 4 will draw most of its inspiration from the previous ME installments and not DAI despite its current popularity. The developer is using the Frosbite engine to develop its games, which includes DAI and ME.

The official launch date for Mass Effect has yet to be announced. Upon its release, it will be available for the Windows PC, Xbox One and PS 4.
