Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu says she will make a comeback in the entertainment industry through a book that she wrote while she was inactive for a year.
Hsu has been out of the limelight since she gave birth to her first daughter with her husband, Mainland Chinese tycoon Wang Xiao Fei, in April last year. The actress has taken a hiatus in order to take care of their daughter.

Media reports say the 38-year old actress will be releasing a book that is all about her experiences as a parent.
Meantimw, on March 27, the actress attended the opening ceremony of a boutique. During an interview with the press, Hsu revealed that she is keeping her options open for acting opportunities, and that she is open to other roles besides being the female lead.
Despite that, Hsu shared that her daughter, who is turning one this year, will always be her first priority. Because of her daughter, the actress has also decided to be more selective of the roles she will be offered in the future, citing that rashly accepting roles might compromise her responsibility as a mother.
In related news, the announcement of her comeback was released just days after news surfaced that her mother-in-law, Zhang Lan, has been facing financial difficulties, leading to speculations that her decision to become active in her career once more was affected by the issue.
When questioned about the news, Hsu refused to comment about Zhang's frozen assets and merely said she will be facing the problem with her mother-in-law and also stated her wish to support the latter financially, should she wish to retire.
Hsu's mother also commented on her daughter's decision to make a comeback, saying that Zhang does not need financial assistance and that Hsu is merely being a filial daughter-in-law.
"She is simply resuming her career because everyone loves her. There are no other reasons," her mother added.
