Hong Kong singer-actress Gillian Chung, more popularly known as Gillian, reveals that she received a lengthy letter of apology from Canadian-Hong Kong multi-hyphenate Edison Chen, whom she was involved in a scandal with in 2008.
In 2008, Chung was in hot waters and suffered a big blow to her career after news surfaced that she was involved in a pornography scandal with the 34-year old multi-hyphenate. The singer-actress says Chen has apologized about the matter.

In an ambush interview on March 29, Chung was bombarded with questions regarding the scandal with Chen. When asked if she purposefully approached the actor-model, she said she did not and they've merely coincidentally met each other on a plane.
However, Chung added that as opposed to Cecilia Cheung, who was also involved in the same scandal, she did not take a photo with Chen when they met.
Chung also revealed that their sitting arrangement in the plane was supposed to be in front of and behind each other, but after they've realized it, both of them were said to have transferred seats. The singer stated that she and Chen did not know how to face each other despite the time that has lapsed since the scandal.
Their chance meeting on the plane was also the time when Chen decided to write the letter of apology to Chung.
Chung was asked by the media to share the contents of the letter that Chen wrote but she dodged the question and only said, "Better late than never," referring to the way-past-due apology. "Either way, it was comforting to me."
The scandal nearly put an end to Chung's show business career, but she revealed that she will be performing with Charlene Choi at the Hong Kong Coliseum next year.
