Hong Kong singer Jinny Ng refuses to apologize for blasting and cursing at a Facebook user who made a crude joke about her mother who has been hospitalized due to a bike accident.
While many fans and friends expressed their concern and encouragement by posting 'get well soon' messages to cheer up the singer, one Facebook user posted something that did not sit well with Ng.

"Jinny's mother must be sad that 'Young Charioteers' ended and took it upon herself to film a sequel," said the post, referring to Ng's project that recently concluded production.
This riled up Ng to the point of cursing at the netizen on her own Facebook page.
When Ng's post went viral, several netizens commended her for being protective of her family. But there were also those who were disappointed with her behavior, saying that she acted rashly. Others urged her to apologize on account of the fact that she is a public figure.
Despite the criticism, Ng stressed that she thought of her actions well, rationalizing the words she used as 'acceptable in TV series aired after 9:30 PM'.
Ng frankly said she did not feel the need to apologize nor will she ever apologize to the netizen.
"Even if an apology was necessary, it wouldn't be because I used curse words, but rather because I am a public figure and it would be a bad influence on young children!," Ng said.
She reiterated that although she is a singer and a public figure, it did not mean that the public has the right to use her family as a target for fun and jokes.
"I will not let these types of situation to happen," the feisty singer said.
