Chinese mobile phone manufacturer Gionee sent out invitations for an April 4 event where it plans to officially release the Elife S7 in India, the most recent family member to the Elife series line-up.

It can be noted the Elife series, which include the Elife S5.5 and the Elife S5.1, grabbed the reputation as the thinnest smartphone on the face of the planet, GSMArena reported.
It can be recalled that at MWC 2015, Gionee's latest flagship was unveiled as the Elife S7, which reportedly breaks away from Gionee's etiquette of thickness-oriented classification.
India Today, however, stated Gionee had a hard time getting a substantial share in the Indian market. It said that to achieve a substantial popularity share, the company had to focus on its Elife series since the two previous smartphones, the Elife S5.5 and Elife S5.1, received popularity and bad remarks at the same time after battery-heating issues arose.
An octa-core MediaTek MT6752 SoC disguised at 1.7 GHz moderately powers-up Elife S7. The phone also comes equipped with 2 GB RAM for multitasking and the phone has an internal storage of 16 GB without any option to expand using a MicroSD slot for its memory.
Elife S7 also brags its own camera setup that comprises a 13 MP main camera with LED flash and an 8 MP front-facing shooter. The smartphone graphics is reportedly equipped with the Mali-T760 MP2 GPU plus a 5.2-inch Full HD AMOLED display protected by Gorilla Glass 3.
News and confirmation regarding the price of the Elife S7 in India or the international price hasn't been revealed. But official word about the matter is expected to be settled at the launch event.
