The murder trial of former professional football player and tight end Aaron Hernandez continued with Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots, taking the stand.
At the continuation of the trial Tuesday, Kraft took to the stand and testified that the former star tight end to his Patriots squad told him that he was innocent in the 2013 killing of Odin Lloyd.

When Kraft took the stand, he seemed uncomfortable with the spotlight on him.
Even with the routine questions, like where he works, Kraft had a hard time being consistent.
When asked where he worked, he first said that it was at the Gillette Stadium where his team plays. He also said that he did whatever they wanted him to do.
Then, he was asked whether or not he ran a business. Kraft replied that, "We're a packaging and paper business and private equity, and we have two sports teams."
The two sports teams were the New England Revolution soccer team and the Patriots.
The questioning then turned to the events of June 19, exactly two days after Hernandez allegedly killed Lloyd.
Kraft said that by that time, there was a strong media presence at the stadium. Even helicopters were circling the skies, all of them investigating and speculating on the situation.
He then recounted how he found Hernandez in a weight workout room and pulled him into an adjacent office to talk.
Hernandez told Kraft that day that he was not involved in Lloyd's murder, and that he was in a bar during the events in question.
Kraft considers any player that enters into the Patriots team as family. He told the prosecutors that he was concerned for Hernandez and just wanted to get him some help if he was involved.
The second time that Kraft saw Hernandez that day, the tight end hugged and kissed his team's owner and thanked him for his concern.
