After encountering a glitch just before the grand restart of the Large Hadron Collider, CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research) engineers have confirmed they've already resolved the problem.
This welcome news comes after a two year power boost upgrade of the particle smasher that aims to reveal the secrets of the universe.

The research center located underground near Geneva has confirmed a metal fragment apparently caused this 'intermittent short' circuit in one of the giant magnets. This fragment has been now successfully removed. The relaunch of the LHC was postponed last week due to this technical problem.
CERN scientists have conducted new tests on the circuits located in the area where the problem appeared. The path is now clear for proton particles to be beamed in opposite directions around the machine's underground tubes spanning some 27 kilometers.
CERN officials also released a statement that the relaunch will happen "in a few days".
Even if this circuit glitch has been repaired, the LHC won't conduct proton particle collisions with double the power of the first runs until May. The first experimental runs of the LHC brought about the discovery of the "God Particle" or the Higgs boson particle.
The collisions that occur inside the LHC is carried out at the speed of light in chaotic conditions simulating The Big Bang that created the universe 13.8 billion years ago.
The results or remnants of these collisions inside the collider are captured by giant detectors and will undergo further analysis by CERN scientists to understand the mysterious forces in the universe such as dark matter and the existence of parallel universes.
Now, with double the power for its second run, the LHC will unravel the existence of invisible dark matter scientists say makes-up about 96 percent of the mass in the universe.
