South Korean girl group Girls' Generation member Tiffany was attacked with angry comments by fans after she followed EXO's Byun Baekhyun on Instagram.

On April 1, Wednesday, Tiffany began following his label mate Baekhyun on Instagram. However, her actions immediately sparked anger among the latter's fans, who left angry, hateful and sarcastic comments on her account.

Some users angrily told Tiffany to unfollow the male idol while others questioned why she followed him. Other netizins accused the girl group member of trying to get people's attention in order to gain more followers.

According to media reports, the fans who were unhappy about the issue, even linked Tiffany's choice to follow Baekhyun to his relationship with fellow Girls' Generation member Kim Taeyeon. It was reported in the past that the announcement of their relationship was not positively received by fans.

One user commented, 'Can't wait for Taeyeon and Baekhyun break up news. Hope for the best.' Another user accused Tiffany of being a 'drama queen just like her eonni (older member)', referring to Taeyeon.

On the one hand, other users have also comments on her page, accusing her of dragging Taeyeon into the 'mess' she made by following Baekhyun. One user said, "I don't care who you follow, just don't drag Taeyeon into your mess!"

Many have voiced out their disappointment in the female idol, citing that Taeyeon have tried to avoid all public contact with Baekhyun, but because of Tiffany's actions, she received a lot of harsh comments as well.

"It's your Instagram, you can do what you want, but honestly I'm disappointed in you because it's not funny," one netizen stated.

Despite the negative comments, there are those who expressed their support for Tiffany, leaving positive comments and encouraging her to just ignore the hateful comments while other poked fun in what she did, saying that she made the best April Fool's joke.
