Richie Sambora is facing a lot of trouble back home, but he has temporarily left those troubles behind to enjoy some sun in Bora Bora with his ex-wife Heather Locklear and their daughter, Ava.

A representative for Richie announced that the former guitarist for Bon Jovi simply wanted to "spend quality time together with Ava as a family." Perhaps so much that he decided to leave his current girlfriend, Australian singer and guitarist Orianthi Paraganis at home alone.

Just this Wednesday, shortly after Richie left for Bora Bora with his family, his business partner and ex-girlfriend, Nikki Lund, filed a police report claiming that Richie attacked her and even threatened to kill her. However, Richie's rep has spoken up about the issue and said that the fashion designer's accusations are untrue. The rep added that Richie will deal with the allegations when he comes home from his trip.

Richie and Heather went to the South Pacific island to celebrate 17-year old Ava's academic achievements. Not only does she have a 4.2 GPA but she also has 11 scholarship offers to choose from, though she hasn't decided which to pick yet.

Richie and Locklear were married for 12 years when they decided to divorce back in 2007. He went on to date Orianthi since December of 2013 and was rumored to be romantically involved with Denise Richards, while Heather was rumored to her fellow "Melrose Place" actor Jack Wagner and plastic surgeon Marc Mani.

This is not the first time though that the friendly exes went on vacation. Just recently, they went to Hawaii with their daughter and even spent their Thanksgiving holiday together.

Richie has told People last year that he's extremely happy he has a good relationship with his ex-wife and daughter. He revealed that he and Ava are close and described her as an "amazing" kid who is dedicated to her school. He added that she's also been doing a little bit of acting and got her first role in the comedy movie "This is 40" directed by Judd Apatow.

And as for Heather? Richie candidly said he still loves her and that he knows she still loves him. "She's the mother of my child, man. What can you say?"
