Greta Van Susteren, a Fox News host, has asked her fellow host Chris Wallace to apologize for the comments he made about American Idol season one winner, Kelly Clarkson's weight.

Chris made the comments last Friday while on a radio guesting on Mike Gallagher's show, in which the pair started poking fun at Mike's weight. The discussion was going fine until the 54-year old radio host brought up Kelly.

According to Media Matters, Mike told Chris that he fat-shames a lot of people and asked him not to fat-shame him before asking "Have you seen Kelly Clarkson? You know the singer, Kelly Clarkson? Then remarked, "Holy cow, did she blow up."

Chris did the right thing at first and avoided to participate in the discussion of Kelly's weight and simply responded with a description of Kelly Clarkson's voice, which he says is "lovely." However, he proceeded to say the phrase, which got him criticized, which is that the singer should temporarily stay away from "deep dish pizza"

Greta talked about Chris and Mike's discussion on her blog and described her colleague as obnoxious, who she said, should apologize to the singer.

Kelly and Chris have not yet commented on the issue, but it's no secret that Kelly has long been battling excessive criticisms about her weight.

The mother of River Rose appeared on The Ellen Degeneres show Friday and explained what hurts her the most. She said that she feels bad for fans who she meets at her meet-and-greets and say things like, "If they think you're big then I must be so fat to them," but she tries to comfort those fans and say "you're just who you are."
