Huang Xiaoming and 26-year old actress Angelababy will marry on October 1 of this year in a small island in France.

After denying the persistent rumors and avoiding endless questions about the real status of their engagement, the Mainland Chinese actor and his fiancée have officially announced that they are to tie the knot this year.

The "The First Time" actress have been vocal about having a grand, fairy tale-like wedding, which reportedly made Xiaoming cancel his plan of holding the marriage ceremony and reception in his hometown, Qingdao and have their wedding overseas instead. 

Xiaoming was the one who chose their wedding date, which falls on the same day of the "National Day of the People's Republic China, and said that he wanted to get married on that day because he has always considered the date to be meaningful.

Aside from that, the date is also a convenience to their friends from the industry, who, now, will be more likely to attend their wedding as it will take place on a national holiday.

Despite holding the ceremony in another country, it is reported that hundreds of family and friends are invited and expected to attend. 

On February 28, which is Angelababy's birthday, Xiaoming proposed to her in a very memorable way which moved his then-girlfriend to tears. At the time, Angelababy and Xiaoming were in the United States for the filming of her movie, "You Are My Sunshine," and Xiaoming planned a surprise birthday party which turned out to be a surprise proposal as well. 

To make the event more meaningful, Xiaoming arranged the travel arrangements of many of Angelababy's family and friends to the United States and proposed to her with a 6-carat diamond ring. 

Happily surprised by the proposal, Angelababy was positively shocked and moved to tears.
