The likely loser of the 2014 Indonesian presidential race appealed to the General Elections Commission (KPU) on Sunday to delay the announcement of official results scheduled tomorrow due to evidence of alleged fraud.
"If they don't, then that is a crime. This very much calls into question the legitimacy of the whole process," Prabowo Subianto said in a news conference in a hotel in Jakarta.

One of his top aides told Reuters that the 62-year-old former general will not accept results to be announced tomorrow, July 22, if the alleged "massive" cheating was not probed.
"We ask the election committee to solve this problem with recounting," Zon said. "We will not accept [result]," said Fadli Zon, the vice secretary general of Prabowo's Gerindra Party, stressing that there were numerous cheating incidents during the counting period and that he is challenging the credibility of the KPU.
He insisted that the official count be halted until the alleged issue has been resolved.
In past reports, the Prabowo camp has accused Jakarta Governor Joko "Jokowi" Widodo of 'jumping the gun' by announcing his victory prematurely.
Both candidates have thrown each other similar accusations of fraud and both have claimed victory by citing unofficial quick counts that show they won. However, both contenders refused to have their unofficial polls audited.
Although the law allows a 30-day leeway before the official announcement is rendered, KPU legal division head Nur Syarifah said that they will stick to the scheduled release of results set in KPU Regulation Number 4/2014.
Meanwhile, some analysts see problems at polling stations to be relatively small and have estimated a change of around seven million votes to flip the election results in favor of Prabowo.
A political communications lecturer at Universitas Pelita Harapan in Tangerang Indonesia described Prabowo's move to be an "unrealistic delay" and has claimed that though there can be mistakes and possibly neglected procedures, a "massive" fraud is not possible.
"For any candidate to call for a delay, it's not strategic, it is not strong enough of a reason," said Emrus Sihombing.
