Many fans of Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone are in denial when breakup rumors about the pair broke. Sadly, a source revealed to People that the rumors are true.
Though they've been dating for three years, the actors seemed to have struggled with coping with a long distance relationship. The 31-year old actor is currently shooting a new movie, "Silence," directed by Martin Scorsese in Taiwan and was noticeably absent from the Oscars and Golden Globes, where Emma was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in "Birdman."

The source said that Andrew has thrown himself into his new project "to the detriment of all else" though it is still too early whether their relationship is over or not.
"Emma understands his work anxieties," added the source, explaining that that was the reason why she postponed working on the upcoming film "Cabaret" and confirmed that they are taking a "break from seeing each other." The source revealed that the pair were discussing marriage last year, however, both of them are caught up in their own busy schedules.
Meanwhile, 26-year old Emma has been spotted spending some quality time with her brother, Spencer, after shooting has wrapped on her and Bradley Cooper's new movie, "Aloha."
Fans should not worry though, as there is still some hope for reconciliation once Andrew finished shooting in May.
Another insider has confirmed that their breakup is only temporary, saying that they are only separated because of work.
Andrew and Emma were last seen together in West Village, New York on January 7.
Representatives for the actors have yet to comment.
