Artist "Plastic Jesus" Places "No Kardashian Parking" Signs in Los Angeles

Parking in Los Angeles is a pain for everyone, but for one extremely famous family in particular, that just might have become a lot more difficult.
Parking signs which read "No Kardashian Parking Anytime" have popped up at several places around Los Angeles, California, with one deliberately placed in front of the Dash store, a clothing boutique owned by Kourtney, Kim and Khloe Kardashian.

All of the seven signs were created and installed around the city by a Los Angeles-based street artist called "Plastic Jesus." The artist clarified that the signs are not a direct criticism of the well-known Kardashian family but rather a critique of a culture that's celebrity-obsessed.
Speaking to USA Today Network, he said that its message is to "stop the celebrity chasing."
The artist said that he got the inspiration for the signs when he saw a swarm of paparazzi flock to one of the Kardashian sisters while shopping.
He immediately asked himself how that has become a news event and explained that the reality family has become the center and focus of mainstream media outlets.
Though he acknowledges that fame and celebrity have a place in current society, recent years have proved that the media has focused their attention on celebrity news instead of other news worthy stories such as unemployment, starvation and hunger. Those kinds of stories, he explained, "are getting pushed to the back, while celebrity news is at the fore."
The Hollywood Reporter reported that although the L.A. Police Department said there have been no complaints yet, it is still a "case of vandalism, regardless of the artistic intent."
