According to Xi Guohua, the situation is quite inspiring now. There have been more than 160 TD-LTE terminals released all over the world, including many smart phones. The shipment of TD-LTE terminals has reached up to 3 million throughout the world.
A few months ago, at GTI summit in Barcelona, China Mobile released 4 TD-LTE multimode mobile phones jointly with its industry partners. According to Xi Guohua, China Mobile will release 11 TD-LTE smart mobile phones later this year.
"Many friends and I have begun piloting these new phones. Among them, several dual-SIM mobile phones' performances are quite satisfactory. The most exciting thing is the TD-LTE smart phone with 28-nanometer chip technology has been launched to the market. It indicates the high level of TD-LTE industry." Xi Guohua said.
Xi Guohua predicts, with the global terminal chip manufacturers' hard work, TD-LTE terminals will enter a highly diversified new era two years later.
