Scott Eastwood on His Dad, Clint Eastwood: "He was pretty old school"

Scott Eastwood may have a renowned last name and an award-winning director and producer, Clint Eastwood, for a father, but the star of the upcoming romantic movie "The Longest Ride" says that getting to where he is now was not a free ride.
Talking to People magazine, he revealed that his dad "was pretty old school" and explained that he's had a job since he was young and despite having a dad who can afford to give his kids what they want, never asked him what car he wants. "My first car was a 1991 Ford Crown Victoria and that was US$1000. I had to buy every car after that. I had to do it all."

And when it comes to his acting career, it was no different.
The 29-year old son of Clint with Jacelyn Reeves, clearly remembers being dragged from one movie set to another. He showed off his acting skills in some of his dad's movies like "Flags of Our Fathers" and "Gran Torino," though he was not sure at the time if he wanted to follow his dad's footsteps.
He said that he finds it funny when people think he's a newcomer in the industry. When he was just starting, he said that he'd give it ten years and if things don't work out, then he'd move on and learn to be a firefighter. Fortunately for Scott, things did take off.
After being featured in a very steamy spread in Town & Country magazine, Scott immediately became a sex symbol. Though he laughs about the label, he's proud to credit his commitment to having a healthy and fit lifestyle to his extremely talented father, who's now 84-years old.
He revealed that his father was extremely active and recalled that he started going to the gym with him when he was young. He explained that his father always wanted him to become conscious about his health and would always preach, "healthy body, healthy mind."
