The 53-year old hit maker announced his upcoming show by saying, "if Dolly Parton met Marge Simpson and they went dancing with David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust, that wouldn't even come close to what you'll see."

If some of you are wondering why the pop star has unexpectedly decided to participate in reality television, he has all the answers to your questions. If you're asking "why now?" He answered, "why not?" And if you're wondering "why Boy George?" Well, all he has to say is "who else?"

For those who might have missed out on Boy George's time in the 80s, he's had numerous hit tracks with "The Culture Club" like "The War Song," "Time" and of course, the very popular "Karma Chameleon." At the time, his unique and androgynous look was considered shocking.

BMP's CEO Gil Goldschein has spoken up about the news and said that the British singer is a music icon whose story should be captured and known by the public. He continued to boast about their success in documenting reality celebrities and said that his team could not be more enthusiastic for being given the opportunity to tell his story.

BMP has produced a string of hit shows like "The Real World," "Project Runway" and KUWTK.
