At one charity event Joe attended, he admitted that he was nervous about the ratings and said that he invited some of his friends over to watch the 6th episode together. Finding out about the ratings, he said that he's satisfied and is hopeful that they'll be able to "do even better and reach the thirties."
Joe said that fans can watch out for various promotional events for their show, as there are a lot lined up that he will personally be attending. He even shared that his friends help him promote his show via social media.
"I'm very happy to hear about the positive responses coming from the audience," he said. And added that many loved his comedic approach and found it refreshing.
Though the actor is quite known for portraying tough characters and acting in melodramas, he isn't unfamiliar with how the comedy scene works. In fact, he revealed that most of his and Kate's bantering scenes were actually written by them.
When asked if Smooth Talker has opened more opportunities for Joe to star in more comedy films, he said that he's actually been offered to star in various comedy films before. Though he didn't directly answer the question, he continued and said that starring in comedy movies are comfortable because everything is light, happy and great.
