The Social Welfare Department issued Elaine a restraining order from her daughter, which lasted for a month, and both were required to go under counseling. However, news reports say that the mother and daughter finally united.
Insider sources stated that on April 6, Monday, Elaine went to her mother's house to fetch Etta after finally reconciling with her. In addition, at 8:00 the following morning, accounts say that Elaine was spotted driving her daughter to school.
Media reports say that Etta also apologized to her mother for having her arrested and assured the public that she is doing well now.
On April 1, Etta and Elaine were arranged to meet by the Social Welfare Department. When asked to comment about the matter, Elaine explained that she behaved in a temperamental manner during the meeting. She explained that Etta did not want to enter the room until half an hour later and when she did, she refused to face Elaine.
"She probably didn't know how to face me," Elaine said. "I was very quick to anger, but I just said to myself that I am her mother and no matter what, we must settle this together."
Elaine convinced Etta to come home with her after she apologized and promised her daughter that they will face problems together as a family. "I know that you mean your mother well by doing this being concerned about my health," Elaine said to her daughter, referring to the incident when Etta reported her to the police.
She also encouraged her daughter to go back to school.
In addition, Elaine admitted that she needs to see a psychiatrist and assured the public that she will not drink too much alcohol and will try to have a healthier lifestyle.
