Nicole Kidman is under fire for advertising and promoting Etihad Airways, the second largest airline in the United Arab Emirates.
The Association of Professional Flight Attendants criticized the actress because of the airlines' and the country's biased policies against women, according to Yahoo News.

"The United Arab Emirates and their airlines are well known in our industry for their discriminatory labor practices and deplorable treatment of their female employees," the association said in a letter.
The APFA also expressed their eagerness to convince Kidman to cut her ties with the airline because it doesn't go along with her role as U.N. Women Goodwill ambassador.
Etihad denied the allegations, saying they fully support their flight crews , even when they are pregnant.
It added that once a cabin crew gets pregnant, they are given the proper ground duties that allow them to work until they can return to their original post.
The letter sent by APFA echoes the sentiments of big U.S. airlines such as United Continental Holdings, Delta Airlines and American Airlines that gulf airlines should not dominate the American market more than the local airlines. The Gulf airlines, which include Etihad and Emirates, denied the allegations of immense subsidy.
The APFA represents at least 25,000 professional flight attendants, which translates to wide support for the case against Kidman. According to The Independent, Kidman or her representatives have yet to release a statement on the issue.
