Why is it that characters in animated series are being killed off one by one? Well, Krusty the Clown might be the next victim. One quick question: How and Why.

They have been hinting on this  impending death for months now but some sort of confirmation from the show's executive producer Al Jean that they might actually be thinking of removing him soon in the coming episodes. He hinted to reporters that the season premiere on September will feature his death. The episode was entitled "Clown in the Dumps".

Clown and dumps do not go so well when used in the same sentence. Jean told the confused crowd that he did not say he was killing Krusty but he also did not say that he was not.

Krusty the Clown is not really a normal clown. He is different from what you and I would picture a clown to be. The tax-evading, chain-smoking, and lithium-addicted Krusty is very well-loved by the public that they can't imagine him not being in the episode anymore. 

The producer talked about this last year revealing that the character who might have something to do with Krusty's death or accident won an Emmy Award recently.

The characters' voices that recently won an emmy are Homer, Sideshow Bob, Apu, Moe, Bart, Marge, Edna, Lisa and Krusty's father. This guessing game has been so talked about that it surprised even Jean himself.

People have been commenting on this and they are outraged. Cries such as "Krusty cannot die" have been freely posted on the internet. Let us just hope that Jean is up to something that would surprise us or there is a massive plot twist to save Krusty's life.

The show will soon be airing its 26^th Season and it has been a really impressive run. Jean also says that they will still go on for a while.

Teasers about the upcoming season include episodes with Futurama, guest appearances from William DaFoe, Jane Fonda and Sarah Silverman.
