The most unique protest in the history of the world recently took place in Spain and no one attended physically. The march was put together using a hologram of the protesters.
People from all over the world and not just Spain participated in the hologram protest in Spain to protest a Spanish law trying to limit the rights of the public to rally.

Protesters are against the Citizen Safety Law, also called the "gag" law in popular media. The law has been described as a law that, "restricts citizens' liberties, and criminalizes their right to protest."
The ironic reply of the masses was to project holograms of protesters outside the parliament in Madrid.
The movement was called the "Hologramas para la Libertad" movement.
Activist leaders said they needed to carry out a different kind of protest that would make their demands unstoppable. Thus, the first hologram protest in history took place.
The project called for a massive protest that showed the voices of the people could not be stifled or silenced, even if they have to turn themselves into holograms.
Last December, the lower house of parliament gave wide powers to authorities, making it illegal to protest outside buildings, insult police officers or refuse to show identification documents.
In addition, a hefty fine of €600 is in place for anyone that disrespects any person in a police uniform. The photographing or filming of police officials has a heavier fine of €30,000.
With the law in place, people have to ask permission from the government if they want to protest publicly.
Any protest not officially allowed has a fine of €600,000.
With newer laws infringing on the civil rights of people, newer methods had to be used to battle for justice.
One of them was to use hologram technology initially used for wholly entertainment purposes.
