The photographer accused in a hit-and-run involving Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds, 38, is in the custody of the Vancouver police and will be charged with intimidation.
According to investigators, they have considered other counts such as assault, assault with a weapon, criminal harassment, hit-and-run and failing to stay at the scene of a crime but they have decided "intimidation" to be the most appropriate. The charge of intimidation is usually applied to stalkers, or someone who persistently follows or watches someone.

The suspect is a 52-year-old resident of Richmond identified by CTV News as Rik Fedyck. He was arrested on Sunday after the incident that happened on Friday around 7 p.m. at the underground parking lot of the Shangri-La hotel in Vancouver. The Vancouver police identified the man through security footage and witnesses to the incident.
According to police, Reynolds had a confrontation with Fedyck and when he was fleeing the parking lot, he struck the Reynolds with his car.
According to Const. Brian Montague, the actor sustained only minor injuries, "a sore knee, a sore back." He is back on the set of his new Marvel comic book movie, "Deadpool," in Georgia Viaduct, Vancouver.
Fedyck, who was previously involved in fights with Pamela Anderson and Denise Richards, was released Monday on a number of conditions, including staying out of Vancouver. He is scheduled for a court appearance on Monday.
According to reports, Fedyck was also a suspect in a hit-and-run incident in 2010 involving Twilight actor Kellen Lutz. However, no charges were filed.
