In an interview with Yangtse Evening Post, Taiwanese actor Nicky Wu opened up about his married life with wife, Cecilia Liu, as well as their plans for their upcoming wedding ceremony.

Nicky and Cecilia tied the knot in January this year and appear to have gone on their usual busy lives. And though they are now husband and wife, Nicky said that he does not expect Cecilia to prioritize his work than her own.

He shared that they will both support each other's profession and described Cecilia as "not the type of person with a very high professional ambition." However, he assured that he will continue to support her work because it's what she wants to do. He said that Cecilia does not need to change a thing about the way she lives or about the things she likes just because she is now married.

The "Scarlet Heart" actor further adored his wife and revealed that she's a "very simple and filial person," who does not like buying brand-name clothes and designer bags. "She's very happy even when buying ten-dollar items on Taobao," he added.

As for their relationship and how they make it work, he revealed that they both strive to make adjustments to their extremely busy schedules so they can spend more time with each other. Before, when he has free time, he explained that he would spend it with his friends, but after getting married, his priority is to see her wife on set and even "do things I didn't do before," and made going to the movies an example. To some, he said, watching a movie is very simple, but though it's harder for them, probably because they're both celebrities, he said that watching together is a nice experience for them. 

Despite their busy schedules, Nicky said that both of them are insistent about having a wedding ceremony, though specific details such as when, where and the theme are still being worked out.

Nicky said that he has left Cecilia in charge about their wedding because he feels that a woman's feelings "are more important."

Meanwhile, Nicky has taken the role of actor and producer in the upcoming movie fantasy movie, "The Legend of Zu," which is based on the similarly titled 2001 movie directed by Tsui Hark. The movie will also feature Mainland Chinese actress Zhao Liying and Hong Kong actor William Chan.
