One Direction Concert Film to be Released in Cinemas Worldwide

In a few months' time, theaters will be jam-packed with screaming teenage girls, breathlessly waiting to have a glimpse of One Direction's live concert film, "One Direction: Where We Are - The Concert Film". The movie has a limited release and will only be shown during the weekend of October 11 and 12 of this year.

The concert film was recorded at the San Siro soccer stadium in Milan during the Italian leg of the group's global tour. It is said to have been recorded in the same style as One Direction's previous film release which earned over £40 million in the UK and US, "This is Us".
A 15-minute interview which has never been aired and, exclusive behind the scenes footage are included in the film as well.
The film, which will not be available in 3D, has a running time of 75 minutes.
In a promotional video, One Direction member Niall Horan, announced that something special is in store for moviegoers. He said, "If you haven't had a chance to come see us at our Where We Are stadium tour this year, or you simply just want to relive it again, we've got a very, very special announcement for you."
Although announcements have yet to be made regarding which cinemas will be showing the film, it is said that the film will have more than 10,000 screenings across 3,000 cinemas in more than 50 territories worldwide.
Simon Cowell is among the executive producers of the movie.
The cinema event is a collaborative project between the boyband's management team comprising of Syco, Modest! and Sony Music Entertainment and, Arts Alliance.
Tickets will go on sale from July 28.
The DVD of the film will be released on December 1 of this year, but is now currently available for pre-order.
