In addition, he also promised that he will not terminate his contract with the Korean-based talent outfit after two of the group's Chinese members, Lu Han and Kris Wu, left the group last year and filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment.

In an interview which was published in a Chinese magazine called 'SE Weekly', the 23-year old idol explained that the other nine members of the group trust in him very much. He said, "Just like the EXO song 'Promise', I will always keep my promise with EXO.

Furthermore, he stated that he does not have any intention to terminate his contract and promised that he will keep persevering with the other members of EXO.

Speculations state that Lay said these things in his interview in response to the fans' worries that he will leave the group after it was announced that he will be promoting alone in China for his new film. Fans cited that Lu and Wu left the group following their respective solo activities in China, which led to rumors that Lay and fellow Chinese member Tao might also leave the group.

In related news, EXO continues to prove their popularity in South Korea as well as in other countries by winning in various music shows and charts since their comeback in April 2. The group is currently promoting their album 'EXODUS' through performances of their title track 'Call Me Baby'.
