Following the online footsteps of the likes of actress Gwyneth Paltrow and reality star Lauren Conrad, Blake Lively has launched her website for curated items last Tuesday. The site, "Preserve", hopes to "inspire your home, your style and your tongue".

The content found on "Preserve" is a combination of narratives, photos and items up for sale.

Lively, who describes the site as having a sort of "Main Street, USA" feel, promises that "Preserve" will be offering a combination of expensive and inexpensive artisanal products from the United States. So far, the most expensive item being sold on "Preserve" is a $2,000 lighted marquee world map and, one of the cheaper products is a $7 bottle of Molonay Tubilderborst curry ketchup.

Although Lively describes the site as for-profit, the group behind the endeavor aim to give back as much as they can. During the first year of 'Preserve' being in business, 5% of each item bought will be donated to the Covenant House, a non-profit organization that caters to young people who are homeless, abused and trafficked.

In her first ever letter from the editor, Lively admits that she is not a professional editor, nor an expert. She even claims that she isn't the authority of what should be deemed as fashionable or gourmet.

Lively stated that the site isn't about her, adding, "It's a handful of the most dedicated, soulful, wise, patient people I've ever had the honor of working alongside."

Unlike Paltrow's "Goop", Lively's website has a more everyday-person, relatable feel and, as noted in the site, the people behind it "acknowledge that we are human and are flawed".

Goop, which has been criticized for being obnoxiously highbrow and condescending, is said to be $1.2 million in debt.

Lively, who is married to actor Ryan Reynolds, shot to fame with her role as Serena van der Woodsen from the CW hit series "Gossip Girl".
