Lil' Wayne Sued by Tour Bus Driver Claiming the Rapper was Trying to Kill Him

Mark Jones, a former tour bus driver hired to drive around Lil' Wayne, 32, whose real name is Dwayne Carter (but who answers to Weezy ) and his crew during the rapper's 2014 summer concert tour is suing the rapper for allegedly threatening to kill him, for false imprisonment, and causing him emotional distress.

According to a report by TMZ, the problem started in their first stop in Buffalo, N.Y., at 11.30 P.M. when they were about to stop for gas. Wayne became infuriated and began cursing which made Jones fearful and instead continued driving without refueling.

According to reports, Wayne allegedly "did not stop yelling, cursing and threatening."  He then threatened to pistol whip the driver and tells his security guards to beat him up.  When he feared for his safety, he pulled over and Wayne reportedly continued to taunt him to a fight.

When they arrived at a toll booth, the driver claims Wayne wanted another fight and ordered his crew to the back of the bus and pulled out his gun again. The rapper then cocked his gun and pointed it directly to the driver at close range. According to Jones, Wayne held the gun to his head the rest of the journey.

This case adds to the list of legal issues against Wayne.  In July 2007, after a concert in New York, Wayne got arrested and sent to jail for possession of a loaded weapon. In 2010, a judge sentenced Wayne to three years' probation from his 2008 arrest for drugs and firearm possession charges.

Wayne's publicist, Sarah Cunningham had no immediate comment regarding the matter.

Lil Wayne's solo debut album, "Tha' Block Is Hot" in 1999 was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. His following albums, "Lights Out" in 2000 and "500 Degreez" in 2002, were certified gold. His fourth album, "Tha' Carter in 2004 gained him more popularity.
