EPA Water Office's Accidental Tweet on Kim K's Mobile Game Draws Mixed Reactions

An accidental tweet by the U.S. Environment Protection Agency's water office about a Kim Kardashian mobile game revealed that even federal agencies that do serious business loosen up once in a while, too!
Monday's tweet read: "I'm now a C- List celebrity in Kim Kardashian: Hollywood. Come Join me and become famous too by playing on iPhone!" It posted a link to where people can download the mobile game app.

Now compare that to the "normal" daily tweets from the agency tasked with ensuring potable drinking water, and you're indeed in for a surprise.
Were they hacked? Were they paid to advertise? Or were they really hooked on the game? The stunned responses came in quick succession.
Within hours from the tweet's posting, the retweets and comments came in quick succession, ballooning to thousands before it was taken out.
A very confused U.S. lawmaker, Rep. John Dingell, who authored the Clean Water Act, tweeted that he had no idea who or what Kim K is and that he rarely plays games. He asked if EPA was okay.
Representative Steve Stockman from Texas chimed in with his own acerbic tweet.
He said he hopes the Kardashians do not mind being associated with an organization which the government spends millions of dollars on but not contributing much to society.
Others on Twitterverse saw humor in the post while others were irate.
Someone said he is glad that EPA employees who are being paid by taxpayers are working so hard playing a Kim K game on their iPhones.
There are known unresolved issues at the EPA, to be sure, which may account for the veiled sarcasm.
Anyway, for those of you who have no knowledge about the game, it allows you to be on a red carpet adventure with the animated version of Kim K. You have to perform a lot of tasks for you to get famous and eventually be part of the A-list celebrities.
This game can be downloaded from the App Store or Google's Play Store. Much like in the real world where technology plays a big role in our lives, the game has a "Feed" where you get social updates on your achievements, how many fans you've accumulated, and whether you want to "tweet" about it or not.
Clicking yes on the tweet button will connect the game to your Twitter account, and will post on your behalf.
The developers of 'Kim Kardashian: Hollywood' responded to the controversial tweet saying that EPA should just keep playing it and will eventually get there.
