Vince Zampella, founder and current CEO of Respawn, has assured PS 4 owners the upcoming sequel to "Titanfall" will also be launched in their game platform.

In an IGN interview, Zampella mentioned the yet to be named sequel will be a multiplatform game. The Respawn CEO defended their decision to make the first Titanfall a timed platform exclusive for the Microsoft Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows PC.

Zampella said that they couldn't develop game without the timed exclusivity deal. Respawn COO Dusty Welch explained the Microsoft exclusive with regards to Titanfall was "a business decision."

The developers do realize that a multiplatform Titanfall would have garnered more players. During the interview, Welch cited cost as the main reason they weren't able to launch the first Titanfall to PlayStation game consoles.

Unfortunately, both the CEO and COO wouldn't reveal much detail with regards to the upcoming Titanfall 2 game. The only thing they could say about it is the expansion of the story line.

Titanfall is only available on multiplayer mode but they wouldn't say if the second installment will also feature a single player mode.

Zampella admits the Titanfall's multiplayer only mode has discouraged many potential players from playing the game. Zampella doesn't have any regrets about the choices they made in developing the first Titanfall"game as multiplayer only even if it meant excluding players that want a single player mode .

One thing Zampella wants to change in Titanfall is the way the DLC is distributed. He particularly likes the way Evolve distributes its maps for free throughout the gaming community.

Although this map distribution can be quite "messy" and makes matchmaking harder, Zampella finds a certain appeal in the idea.
