Rumors state that Chinese rock musician Wang Feng will propose to his actress girlfriend Zhang Ziyi next month.

China entertainment news outlets have been buzzing with the topic, even writing that Wang Feng plans to pop the question after his concert next month, which will be held at the Beijing National Stadium.

The musician was said to be planning an over-the-top proposal in front of his fans and supporters on the August 2 event, a date that concurs with the Qixi Festival, otherwise known as Chinese Valentine's Day.

However, there is a possibility that his plans could be thwarted since actress Zhou Xun surprised her fans by having her wedding onstage after a charity event in Hangzhou, Zhejiang on July 16.

The rock star better think of other unique ways to propose for him to receive that sweet 'YES' from his lady love, Zhang Ziyi.

Both stars have had a rough time the previous year with Zhang Ziyi's reported split with her TV host boyfriend Sa Beining. On the other hand, Wang Feng had just gone through his divorce with second wife, Kang Zuo Ru.

It hadn't been easy for the couple with the rumors coming out that the actress had been the third party and main reason for the singer's divorce. Supporters of the couple are delighted that their year-long relationship has finally come to fruition.

Reports say that with the increasing number of actresses tying the knot, Zhang Ziyi has also been thinking about settling down. Wang Feng, seeing this as an opportunity, seized it.

Wang Feng has previously expressed his wish to marry the actress; however, wedding plans had to be pushed back after she stated her wish to focus on her career.

Zhang Ziyi's latest movie "The Crossing" would finish filming in September while Wang Feng is taking a mentor role in a show called "The Voice of China'.

With the couple's busy schedules, it was estimated that they may be able to register their marriage nearing this year's end.

Should the proposal ensue, the actress would be Wang Feng's third wife after two failed marriages.
