Since exchanging vows with her boyfriend Juan-Domingo Maurellet in February, Cantopop singer, Ella Koon, was constantly in the headlines due to the pregnancy rumors that surrounded her.

Ella was seen recently with an obvious baby bump and even though her own record company attempted to shoot down the rumors, the 35-year old Chinese singer herself, announced the exciting news yesterday.

"We would like to share this exciting news... JE SUIS ENCEINTE (which translates to "I am pregnant")We have an exciting announcement to make... I am pregnant! This is the best gift that God could give us! Thankful!" Ella wrote on her social media page. 

Ella is said to be 3 months into her pregnancy and hesitated to announce her pregnancy until the first trimester is over. Earlier this month, she even made her own attempt to stop the rumors by sharing a picture of her slim body to fans to  prove that she was not pregnant. 

Since her pregnancy is unexpected, Ella has already committed to various projects, which will last till the end of the year. But, some media outlets claim that she might delay the release of her upcoming album and cancel some of her work obligations to ensure that she gets the rest that she needs.

A source close to the couple recently revealed, that Ella, who'll turn 36 in in July, is worried about her and the baby's health due to the some of the known risks of late pregnancy. It is reported that the singer hired a health care expert to help her out until they welcome their baby in October.

Ella and her doctor husband, Juan, tied the knot in a low-key ceremony last February. There was no media coverage of their wedding since the couple's parents frankly revealed that their parents did not want the media to be there.
