Kim Richards Advised to Quit "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" After Arrest

After she got arrested on Tuesday for public intoxication, Kim Richards, one of the stars in the reality show "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," must now determine if continuing to live her life in front of the cameras is healthy.
Though the show's network, Bravo, has yet to make an official announcement about Kim's future on the hit show, at least one sobriety expert suggests that letting the 50-year old actress go might be the best way to help her help herself.

Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation's William C. Moyers, said to People, that her experience is one of those instances when her distressingly public problem serves as an opportunity for her to change her life and steer her life in a positive direction. However, that would only be effective, he explains, if she takes everything that's happened seriously and steps away from the spotlight, so she can concentrate on giving herself the help that she deserves and needs to get better.
William pointed out that there is absolutely nothing appealing or funny about Kim's situation and asked the help of Bravo, her costars and those close to her in encouraging Kim to take the first step to recovery.
Just this Friday, Bravo's head of development and Watch What Happens Live's Andy Cohen revealed to Ryan Seacrest on Ryan's radio show that he personally got in contact with Kim's sister, Kyle, and learned that they're all very concerned about Kim. Though he admitted that he does not know what exactly happened, he wished for Kim's and her family's peaceful resolution.
The 46-year old host also posted a tweet on Friday and wrote, "I hate it. I never root against a Real Housewife. I only want the best for them."
A source from the show confirmed Andy's stance and told People that Kim's recovery is a priority. "Everyone wishes her the best and cares about her a lot," the source added. But because they just finished filming season five of the show, they are not in everyday contact with her and are not in any way involved in the decision-making regarding whether or not she should go to rehab. Nevertheless, they wish nothing but the best for her and hope that she accepts her situation and "gets the help she needs."
Kim was arrested on Thursday after a creating a scene inside the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Her charges include public intoxication, battery on a police officer, resisting a police officer and trespassing.
