Modern Family star Sofia Vergara is getting sued by her ex-fiancé, Nick Loeb, for allegedly attempting to destroy two frozen embryos they both created while they were still engaged. However, the 42-year old actress is firing back and says that his claims aren't true.
Her lawyer, Fred Silderberg, issued an official statement in behalf of Sofia saying the claims are "uncredible and have no merit", and that Vergara never intended to destroy her embryos.

Nick filed a lawsuit against Sofia in an attempt to save two female embryos that were created through in vitro fertilization (IVF) when they were still together. They broke up in May last year.
According to the official court documents, he sued Sofia in August to make sure that the embryos are safe because she "refused to agree to their preservation under all circumstances."
A source close to Nick told Daily News on Wednesday that he's going to save the embryos no matter what it takes since he believes that life starts at conception.
However, Sofia's lawyer has clarified that both his client and Nick signed an agreement back in November 2013 (the time they created the embryos), which states that no independent action can be done "with regard to the embryos unless both parties consent."
The statement also said that Sofia has never wished to have the pair of female embryos destroyed. She has always wanted them to stay frozen, a fact that Loeb and his lawyers know, despite his contradicting statements.
Sofia, who has now happily moved on with Magic Mike XXL actor Joe Manganiello, wants to keep the embryos frozen, as she currently does not want to have a child with her ex-fiancé, which should be understandable given her circumstances.
After calling it quits with Nick, the actress started dating Joe Manganiello and got engaged in December last year.
