Exciting news for Zoolander 2 fans, as the movie just got a new A-list cast member!

One of the star's leads, Ben Stiller, just announced on his Twitter and Instagram accounts that the one and only Penelope Cruz has joined the cast of the fashion comedy film. 

He posted an adorable photo of a young Penelope on Instagram, sporting pigtails and a pink shirt. He captioned the picture, "Excited to announce Penelope "Little Penny" Cruz has joined #Zoolaner2 cast! #fbf"

Though Penelope's appearance in the movie has been officially confirmed, there is still no news about what character the Oscar-winning actress will portray. 

The 40-year old Spanish beauty is no stranger to the modeling world. She has worked with the likes of Ralph Lauren, so there's no doubt that she's extremely familiar with the fashion industry, however, she is kind of new to the comedy game.

Ben and Owen Wilson will be reprising their roles for the sequel to the 2001 flick as the extremely, vain and good looking male supermodels, Derek Zoolander and Hansel McDonald, while funny man Will Ferrel will come back as Jaobim Mugatu and Christine Taylor, Ben Stiller's wife in real life, as Hansel's love interest and journalist, Matilda Jeffries.

Exciting fans more is "Bridesmaids" star, Kristen Wiig, who was previously announced to be joining the cast as well.

The globe-trotting power couple, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian were also reported to appear in the movie.

Justin Theroux penned the script, while Ben, who also directed the first part, will direct.

Ben and Owen made sure to announce the news of Zoolander 2 in a very fashionable manner-during the Valentino Fashion show. Both in their characters, they owned the runway and paraded in Valentino's Paris Fashion Week show in March, sporting their signature pouts.

Filming of the movie was said to have been taking place for months, with Ben and Owen getting some of the scenes filmed already during last month's fashion week in Paris. Aside from strutting their stuff on the runway, they were also spotted posing with American Vogue's editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour.

Zoolander 2 is scheduled to hit the theaters on February 12 next year.
