Kim Richards' arrest for public intoxication is hurting the people around her, especially the four people closest to her, her children, 29-year old Brooke, 23-year old Whitney, 22-year old Chad and 20-year old Kimberly.

A source close to the situation revealed to People that all of her children are extremely disappointed in her. "They are so upset. This is hard for them," the source said.

As revealed by the Beverly Hills Police Department, the star of the reality hit show, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, caused a scene at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel, and as a result, was put under arrest. Police said that the 50-year old actress was showing signs of alcohol intoxication such as slurred speech, and aggressive and insolent behavior. She was cursing at the police officers and attempted to resist arrest.

A witness has confirmed to People that Kim had been drinking the whole time and another described her "acting increasingly out of it," despite her insistent claims that she has not consumed any alcohol.

The source also added that Kim was by herself at the Polo Lounge because she does not have that "many friends at this point."

While Kim insisted that she was completely sober during the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, friends close to her tell a different story. One of them said that Kim thinks she does not need to check herself into a rehab facility.

However, one sobriety expert, William C. Moyers of the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, spoke to People previously and said that Kim needs to step out of the limelight and focus on getting the help that she needs. He also asked the help of the show's network, Bravo, her family, friends and co-stars in encouraging the star to take her first step to recovery and steer her life in a positive direction.
