Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers begin their run for the National Basketball Association (NBA) gold in stunning fashion as they hand the Boston Celtics their first loss of the season (113-100).
Heading into the game, the Celtics were hopeful that the star quality on the Cavaliers squad wasn't enough to beat them.

They were wrong. As is often the case in the NBA, talent and hard work band together to create a formidable squad that would give any team a hard time. And the Cavaliers have talent in bucket loads.
Game one of the first-round playoff series goes to the Cavaliers.
James averaged 20 points all throughout the game and had seven assists as well. He also delivered the early nail to the coffin when he made a three pointer guarded in close by Marcus Smart in the opening moments of the third quarter.
Kyrie Irving stepped in for the Cavaliers and delivered a devastating performance to the Celtics as he had 30 points. This included five three-point shots out a total of eight attempts.
Kevin Love rounded out the squad by contributing 13 of his 19 points in the second half alone.
Apart from the Cavaliers' raw talent though, the Celtics players just were not clicking this game.
Avery Bradley and Evan Turner combined to make a horrendous 7 for 21 statistic.
Moving forward, the offensive source of the Celtics - Bradley and Turner - will need to get it in gear if they have any hopes of winning the series.
The game started to go the Cavaliers' way after half time.
The Celtics were struggling with a 7-0 run by the Cavaliers. Ending the third quarter, the Cavaliers had another 12-0 burst. The end of the quarter featured the Cavaliers' second straight buzzer beater by James Jones.
In the end, the Cavaliers were just too much for the Celtics, taking the first playoff game of the series.
