Yang has been charged with sexual assault in Illinois, where authorities say three patients claimed they were touched inappropriately during office visits. His arrest was the result of an ongoing investigation that began two years ago. He has officially been charged with three felony counts of sexual assault and five counts of sexual abuse.
Investigators said the assaults took place between 2012 and 2014. According to court documents, Yang is accused of inappropriately touching or fondling three adult female patients during medical examinations at his clinic in Yorkville, Illinois.
Yang fainted while walking through the corridor leading to the arrivals area at the airport. A police officer spotted him and he was rushed to the nearby Chuansha Hospital.
It was then that police discovered the real story of Yang and found that he was charged in the US with three sex-related crimes against his patients.
He had taken phentamine pills, an appetite suppressant that causes weakness and fatigue, to cause him to faint. When a police officer found him, he had "blood" on his lips which later turned out to be fake. However, before his fainting spell Yang flushed his fake passport in the down toilet.
After being caught in his lie, Yang revealed that it had been his plan to sneak into the country on a fake passport. He told the police his real name and said he used another person's passport to travel because he had no time to apply for a Chinese visa. He destroyed the passport because he feared he would be caught at the immigration.
It was only when the police did a background check on Yang did they realize that he had been charged with felony in the US. Yang then admitted he had been trying to elude the law in the U.S. Yang had some managed to skirt security in Chicago with the fake passport..
Yang has since been deported back to the U.S. after the hospital confirmed he was fit enough to travel again.
