Ariana Grande and Big Sean have broken up after 8 months of dating. On Monday, the representatives of the two recording artists confirmed the split in a joint statement.

The 21-year-old Grande and her 27-year-old Detroit rapper boyfriend began dating in August 2014, and since then have been very public about their romance on social media, displaying their affections towards each other in the eyes of netizens, referencing one another on Twitter, and also appearing in various events and concerts. The rumors of their relationship began when Big Sean contributed to Grande's second studio album "My Everything" as a featured artist on the single "Best Mistake."

According to insiders close to the "Love Me Harder" singer and the "Control" rapper, as reported by Us Magazine, ended their relationship amicably a few weeks ago. And the reason for the break-up was not a third party-yes, it's not because of Justin Bieber- but due to their conflicting touring schedules that will separate them over the next year.

Prior to dating Big Sean, Grande was dating Jai Brooks of the Australian YouTube group The Janoskians, whom she began dating in 2012, broke up with in 2013, and had gotten back together with in May 2014.

Weeks before her break-up with Big Sean, the "Bang Bang" hitmaker was rumored to have been outraged by Grande's and Justin Bieber's raunchy performance in March 28's Miami concert, even tweeting that Bieber should learn not to touch his girlfriend which the rapper's reps have since denied.

Before getting into a relationship with Grande, Big Sean was engaged with Naya Rivera, whom he met on Twitter. The two broke off their engagement in April 2014 after one year of dating.
