After seeing Robert Downey Jr. play Iron Man, it is hard to image him as the authoritarian type, but the 50-year old actor reveals that he has become the stabilizing force within the growing cast of superheroes during the production of the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Robert said that he is the assistant den mother for the film's director, Joss Whedon. "We are more contemporaries," he remarked during the movie's premiere on Tuesday in London, where he was accompanied by his co-stars Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo and Scarlett Johansson.

Robert recalled being just like the new younger talents in the movie, who he described as "exuberant" and said he feels "like I'm the assistant principal."
The A-list actor reprises his role as Iron Man in the movie, which is the second in the Avengers franchise and the sequel to the 2012 Avengers movie.
For Scarlett, who plays the Russian super spy, Black Widow," the screen reunion was extremely "amazing." The actress said that she feels really great to be able to experience this with actors who are also her friends in real life. "We are all a part of something that has a huge fan base, this built-in excitement and it is not always like that," she added.
The new actors included in the new Avengers are Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch and Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Quicksilver. "They have already done the work of establishing a fan base, so I feel like I've snuck in," the smiling Elizabeth said.
This will be Joss Whedon's last time to direct the Avengers movie, as he is handing over the reins of the next movies Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 and Avengers: Infinity War Part 2, set to be released in 2018 and 2019 respectively, to Anthony and Joe Russo, the directors of Captain America: Winter Solider. And admitted that he's having a difficult time saying goodbye.
Avengers: Age of Ultron is scheduled to hit the theaters on May 1 in the U.S., but is opening a week earlier in other countries.
