Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales will be hitting theaters on July 7, 2017.
The fifth installment of the pirate movie franchise may be eyeing some competition from Fantastic Four 2, which will be released on July 14 on the same year. Despicable Me 3 has also been slotted for June 30.

Star Wars: Episode VIII has been set to arrive on the first weekend of May in 2017 as well.
Pirates of the Caribbean 5 was initially set to be released on summer 2016. However, script-related adjustments called for an official release date extension to the following year.
Disney also incurred a loss of $190 million due to the poor box office run of The Lone Ranger and experienced budgetary concerns for its next project.
As such, the fifth Pirate film has been slotted to land in cinemas six years after the last installment, On Stranger Tides, was released.
The past four Pirates movies grossed $3.7 billion with On Stranger Tides going over the $1 billion brim despite criticisms on the lack of appeal of Captain Jack's adventures.
Aside from the huge pirate adventure franchise, Johnny Depp aka Captain Jack is expected to star in the sequel of the billion-dollar-grossing Alice in Wonderland. He will also show up as a supporting actor in the musical Into the Woods, directed by Rob Marshall Sondheim who also worked for the fourth Pirates movie.
Depp's comedic spy thriller Mortdecai and crime drama Black Mass have been set to be released in 2015.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is directed by Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg, who both worked in the high seas adventure movie "Kon Tiki", and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.
