Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen Did Not Know a Thing About the Spin-Off "Fuller House"

Ashley Olsen and 47-Year-Old Beau Show Up in Public in NYC

Will we be seeing Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen on the upcoming spin-off sitcom Fuller House? Well, the famous twins are wondering the same thing themselves.

The twins revealed to Women's Wear Daily on Tuesday that they just both recently found out about it and have plans to talk to the creators "and see what is happening."

What's a little bit surprising though is that Mary-Kate and Ashley, who played the role of Michelle Tanner in the original Full House since 1987 until 1995 (but have been most of the time noticeably absent from many cast reunions and talks about the spin-off) found out at the same time as the rest of the world that Full House will be coming back to television. As reported by WWD, the sisters did not know anything about a spin-off before John Stamos, who played Jesse Katsopolis on the show, broke the news.

Ashley revealed in the same interview that she bumped into their former co-star Bob Saget just the other day and he did not say anything about the show. Mary-Kate chimed in and said that she is shocked, as she has not heard from John Stamos, who was their TV dad.

"I'm going to call Bob and get his perspective," Ashley added.

John Stamos appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last Monday night and said that Bob "better be" part of the show.

Unfortunately, Bob candidly revealed that not all of the original cast want to come back for the spin-off. "Maybe two-thirds of the cast," he said. However, if there is really spin-off of the beloved show, the most important thing, he requested, is to protect its legacy. Describing the show as a "sweet thing," he said that "nobody should mess it up."

Jodie Sweetin, Candace Cameron Bure and Andrea Barber will reprise their roles on Fuller House while John Stamos will guest star.

Other original cast members Lori Loughlin, Bob Saget and Dave Coulier are still in negotiations.
