It was just confirmed last month that loveable host Dermot O'Leary had quit his role as a host of the television music competition X Factor. And now another member of the show is reportedly leaving, after several news outlets claim that Mel B had been axed by Simon Cowell after just one series as a judge.

Despite winning viewers over, with her honest critiques and extremely down to earth personality, creator Simon Cowell, was said to be adamant about his decision not to renew the singer's contract in his attempt to revamp the long-running competition.
A source revealed to The Sun that the X Factor bosses plan to evolve the show and "decided that Mel won't return." The insider added that Simon, and the rest of the producers are trying to find a suitable replacement for Mel and if they don't find one, then there is a slim chance that she can come back.
Another source also clarified that there's no falling out with Simon Cowell, especially that the 39-year old singer is still doing America's Got Talent, which the music mogul also created.
Meanwhile, the gorgeous Cheryl Fernandez-Versini was reportedly asked to come back to the judging panel alongside Simon, whereas entertainment manager and long-time judge Louis Walsh could be facing the same fate as the former Spice Girl with some reports claiming that show bosses are currently looking for a younger male judge.
News reports claim that Cheryl was offered £2million to rejoin X Factor, which is £500,000 higher than her pay last year.
Simon seemed to have confirmed the rumors when he answered that he and Cheryl are fine after being asked about the lineup of judges for the season 12 of X Factor. Though he added and clarified that nothing has been set in stone.
After Dermot's departure, it has been recently confirmed that singer-songwriter Olly Murs and Caroline Flack would become the show's new hosts.
