Taiwanese TV personality and model Cindy Yang, otherwise known as Peng Hsin Yi, committed suicide by inhaling helium in her Taichung home last April 21, according to Taipei Times.

Yang reportedly blamed her coworkers and internet cyberbullying for the decision to take her own life, according to the suicide note found upon investigation, Stomp Strait Times reports.

The authorities revealed that Yang mentioned "bashers" and co-workers as the force that made her commit suicide, but further details were not disclosed.

However, Cindy's brother revealed that the model has been suffering from mental problems for the past few weeks. The family took her to several clinics following failed attempts, after slanderous comments were made on her Facebook page.

Yang shot to fame by starring in a youth oriented show called University. The show portrayed the everyday life of a college student, thus targeted for the demography for college students as well.

The 24 year old model's death became a hot discussion among netizens, who speculated the main cause of her death stemming from a fan page in Facebook called the "Kao Kei Bloggers", who regularly bashed the model through hurtful comments.

Yang's fans were in a state of shock when they heard the news. Yang was still reaching out to her fans through Facebook, with an inspirational message that her fans and friends will be safe.

A lot of people paid homage to the TV personality following her death.

Some posted quotes that related to the feeling of sympathy, while some expressed anger, particularly for the bashers who drove Yang to depression, thus committing suicide.

Peng Tso Kwei, Yang's father, also the former Minister of Agriculture, mourned the death of her daughter by posting an old photo of the two of them, in happier days.

Tso Kwei expressed through the caption that he wished that Yang didn't have to grow up so fast and leave his side. It would've been perfect to have his daughter with everywhere.
