Twitter's Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion, Janet Van Huysse, said Twitter will now focus on creating a more diverse and inclusive work force.
Twitter has released a report regarding ethnicities and gender preferences and it looks a lot like Facebook's.
The report shows that Twitter's leadership team is 79 percent male. Overall, males constitute 70 percent of the total work force.

As for ethnicity, the company is 59 percent Caucasian and 29 percent Asian. African Americans, Native Americans, Latinos and others comprise less than three percent of Twitter employees.
Twitter is serious about rectifying the situation. It has in-house employee-led groups like Alas, which consists of Latino and Latina employees.
There's Blackbird composed of people of color; TwitterOpen whose members are LGBTQ folks and WomEng formed by women in engineering.
The company also said it's collaborating with organizations to improve diversity. These organizations include Girls Who Code, a national nonprofit organization working to close the gender gap in technology and engineering sectors, and Out in Tech, a nonprofit entity that aims to unite LGBT individuals across technology-related industries.
Twitter also plans to host Summer Immersion programs and a Club program out of their offices in San Francisco, New York and Boston for Girls Who Code, and Girl Geek Dinners, in San Francisco and Boston.
Twitter is also sponsoring a number of conferences for under-represented groups such as "Out for Tech," a nonprofit group committed to helping high-achieving lesbian, gay bisexual and transgender undergraduates reach their full potential.
It also supports many other initiatives geared towards helping women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields. Among these are Technovation, a technology entrepreneurship program for young women, and LEAD Computer Science, which aims to expose academically promising middle to high school students from diverse communities to both colleges and careers in STEM fields.
"We are committed to making inclusiveness a cornerstone of our culture," Huysse said.
