Comedian Ray Romano played their father, while Patricia Heaton played their mother on the highly rated show, which started in 1996 and lasted until 2005.

Madylin took to her official Facebook account to announce the sad news and at the same time give some advice.  She encouraged everyone to reach out to their loved ones and make sure that they know what they mean to you.

She also released a statement which confirmed that Sawyer committed suicide. She said that they are devastated to announce "that our beloved brother, son and friend, Sawyer Sweeten, took his own life." As of now, their family is asking for some privacy.

Sawyer's TV dad, Romano provided a statement to E! News and shared that he was extremely shocked and saddened by the unexpected news. Describing Sawyer as a sweet and wonderful boy, he said that there is always a great energy whenever he's around and expressed that his "heart breaks for him, his friends and his family during this difficult time."

Other actors who starred in the award-winning sitcom are Doris Roberts, Monica Horan, Brad Garrett and Peter Boyle.

Sawyer was from Brownwood, Texas. He and his twin brother started acting at a very young age and even shared roles in some movies and TV shows including the 2002 comedy movie, "Frank McKlusky, C.I." and an episode of Disney's "Even Stevens."

The siblings' last public appearance together was in 2010 at the TV Land Awards.

Sawyer was to turn 20 in a few weeks.
