After celebrating the overall success of the seventh franchise of Fast and Furious, Vin Diesel recently announced that the franchise will indeed go on, at a Las Vegas CinemaCon last Thursday, MTV News reports.
Diesel, in tears, paid homage to Paul Walker, whose last appearance was in the successful Fast and Furious 7 movie. Before making his speech, he showed a final clip of him and Paul Walker going for a final ride before parting ways.

He acknowledged Walker as 'his brother upstairs' and thanked the theater owners, exhibitionists and journalists for making the movie an overall success.
"It means a lot to me to get your blessing," said Diesel, who emphasized that they were excited for the film's release and didn't expect for its success.
The cast owe it all to the support of the fans and also for the people who distributed the film legally.
Diesel also thanks the exhibitors for their loyalty and helping the movie make a mark in history.
Diesel already gave a clue that there will be another movie for the Fast and Furious franchise during a guest appearance in the Jimmy Kimmel show.
While promoting the seventh movie, Diesel pointed out that these movies are typically classified into a trilogy.
However, Kurt Russell made his debut appearance in the seventh film, thus marking another story arc that will take place in New York.
The main reason why Russell was introduced into the franchise was to give another set of loose ends to tie in another movie.
Furious 7 already garnered US$1 billion in sales in just 17 days, marking a quick profit upon its release. Its total gross is already US$1.1 billion worldwide.
The eighth film will be released on April 14, 2017.
