Tickets for the fight of Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao got sold out in less than a minute on Thursday afternoon.

About 50,000 closed circuit tickets also went on sale.

The prices for the May 2 Fight of the Century ranged from  $1,500, $2,500, $3,500, $5,000 and $7,500.  There were ringside tickets priced at $10,000, but none of them went on public sale.

While tickets appeared to be wiped out on MGM Grand's site within the first minute, they appeared on sale from sites such as Stubhub, with more than 200 tickets listed as available.  There, tickets with original value of $1,500 can be bought for $8,780 a piece.  The $10,000 seat is offered at $141,575.25.

The closed-circuit tickets were also sold for $150 each,  with a limit of eight per person.

More than 16,000 tickets were not sold to the public.  These will be distributed among different key entities of the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight.  Forty percent goes to MGM Grand, and the remaining tickets will be split between the Mayweather Promotions and Top Rank.  These tickets may be offered to secondary market at astronomical prices.

The Fight of the Century is expected to be the highest-grossing boxing event in the history.  It is projected to generate a live gate of $74 million - even greater than the top three gates in Nevada boxing history combined.

American boxer Mayweather has won all of his 47 fights with 26 knockouts.  Filipino boxing champion Manny Pacquiao has won 57 fights, with 38 knockouts, five losses and two draws.
