The 21-year-old singer has been thanking her friends and fans on twitter saying that she is very appreciative of the continuous love and support that they're giving to her family.
Ariana tweeted that her heart hurts so much and that it is beyond broken. She did, however, say that she got to hold her grandpa's hand and watch him find his peace. She tweeted how amazing her grandpa was and wished that everyone had witnessed it.
Ariana says losing her beloved grandfather was the hardest thing she's had to contend with but was grateful to have somehow taken care of him in him during his battle with cancer.
What was most heartbreaking was the photo of Ariana and her grandpa in black and white showing how close they were. Ariana was on his bedside and Grandpa Grande managed to smile but he seemed really weak in the photo shared on twitter.
Grandpa's last words to Ariana were for her to honor her work commitments because she had to go to NYC for Good Morning America. She did and reports say that after the taping, Ariana broke down and cried on Ryan Seacrest's shoulder.
As for Ariana's brother, Frankie, their grandpa told them not to pull Frankie off from Big Brother. The producers of Big Brother had passed a note from Ariana's family to break the sad news to Frankie, who then broke down in tears as he shared the news to those who were with him inside the house.
Condolences for the family are currently trending on Twitter.
